the moment it's for

It's a Tuesday in Hamburg. Somewhere on a hillside eleven kilometres from your house in the Algarve, a satellite passing 500 km overhead registers a heat signature. Tonight, your neighbour will see the smoke and think of you. Tomorrow morning, you'll get her WhatsApp. Vedetta exists to move that moment from tomorrow morning to tonight, 23:05.

How it works

  1. 01

    Drop a pin.

Your property, your alert radius. No hardware, no installer, no keys to hand over. Sixty seconds.

  2. 02

    We watch.

NASA satellite fire detections (several passes a day) and official warnings from Europe's national weather services — checked every 15 minutes, matched to your exact location.

  3. 03

    You know first.

Tiered alerts by push and email: urgent when it's close, watch when it's worth following, one calm morning digest for everything else — including “all quiet.”

What every fire alert tells you

Distance and direction from your property. When the satellite detected it and when we received it — both timestamps, always. Which way the wind is pushing it. And where the official guidance lives. No sirens, no drama; exactly what you'd want a very calm, very well-informed neighbour to say.

The honesty most alert services skip

The day a fire matters, you'll want to know exactly what we saw — and what we couldn't. So here it is up front, not buried in fine print.

Your early warning — not your emergency service.

The moment something needs action, that's 112, and every alert says so. We give you the head start; the authorities take it from there.

You always know how fresh it is.

Every fire alert shows two times — when the satellite detected it, and when it reached you. Orbit-to-inbox is typically 1–3 hours; we put that on the alert rather than hide it.

We tell you what a satellite can't see.

None of them catch every fire — a service that claims otherwise is the one to worry about. We'd rather be trusted than oversold.

A head start, not a replacement.

We tell you when to look; the authorities tell everyone what to do. The value is the hours between a satellite noticing and a neighbour's morning message.

06:30 — update: no new detections overnight.

Questions owners ask

Which countries?

Spain, Portugal, France, Italy and Greece at launch — fire detection plus each country's official weather warnings.

How fast are fire alerts?

We check for new satellite detections every 15 minutes. The satellites themselves pass several times a day, so a detection typically reaches you 1–3 hours after ignition becomes visible from orbit. Every alert shows both timestamps.

Do I need hardware or a local SIM?

No. Nothing to install at the property. A pin on a map is enough.

What about storms and floods, not just fire?

Included — official orange and red warnings for storm, rain, flood, wind and heat, matched to your property's area, year-round.

What data do you use?

NASA's FIRMS satellite fire detections, the Meteoalarm network of official national weather warnings, and the EU's EFFIS fire-danger ratings. Public, official sources — interpreted for one address: yours.

When does it launch, and what does joining the list get me?

Private beta this season. Founders get first access and the €9/€72 price locked for life — and honestly, you also get a say: we build the first country integrations in the order the founder list votes.
